The BIG Spring Closet Edit

Meet Allie – my friend turned personal shopper/style guru!

Someone decided to skip her afternoon nap and play dress up in mommies closet instead!

Her favorite heels….PINK!!

I asked Allie the best way to get the rubber clean on sneakers…because it drives me crazy when it gets dirty.  Get a counter/bathroom cleaner that has bleach in it (diluted with lots of water) and scrub it with a toothbrush.  I clearly need to get cracking on that tip!!

She’s changing up the style for me on these shorts!

Oh look you can’t see my HUGE belly if I hide behind this island!

I can’t tell you how much Allie has helped me over the years with my clothes and closet.  Between running a full time photography studio and having babies there really left no room to shop and do a leisurely browse of some cute boutiques.  Allie has come to the rescue more times than I can count and she is one of my best resources for helping me find what I need when I need it. She’s always shopping, it’s her job 😉  She is aware of all the sales and what’s new where and when.  She has picked up the best things on sale for me to fill in the holes in my closet because she knows and somehow remembers everything every client owns, WOW!

Allie came over to my house earlier this week to help me switch out my closet from winter to spring/summer because heaven knows I’m way to pregnant to do it myself.  We purged SO MUCH STUFF.  I thought I was doing a pretty good job of only keeping things that I wear, but quite often you need that outside opinion to go….really Jess?!?!  And then plop it in the sell pile.  I didn’t realize how much stuff I was still holding onto that I haven’t worn or used in years.  I had a lot of “tired” clothes as Allie would say and items that just didn’t fit my style anymore…I think my friend Jen was getting a good kick out of that.  There is an enormous rack in my bathroom now filled with clothes that I’m going to sell/donate.  It was such a good feeling.  Now when I look in my closet every single piece hanging is something that I know I will wear.  It makes it so much easier to get dressed when you don’t have to search in your closet for the pieces you like wearing, haha.

I highly recommend Allie for the following reasons:

  1. If you need closet organization and editing.
  2. If you need help finding your style.
  3. If you are too busy to shop for yourself.
  4. If you have great clothes, but just need them paired in a new way. She can make a look book for you!
  5. She can also pack for you you too if you are going somewhere and you just really don’t know what to bring!

You can contact her at or 404.317.7001 (her website is still under construction)

I have had great success selling my old items.   In Atlanta I go to Alexis Suitcase and take them the current seasons clothes. For fall/winter clothes I will bag everything up and then take later this summer.
