Why Every Woman Should Shave Their Face

Don’t be frightened ladies, I am here to share with all of you why every woman should shave their face. I know what you’re thinking right now, if I shave my face will black hair grow back?!?! I am here to tell you NO, no it will not! That is an old wives tale. ย I have been shaving my face for years, and here are a list of reasons why you should do it too.

  1. Your makeup will go on more smoothly.
  2. You will be exfoliating your face each time you shave (I think this is the secret to men aging so well.)
  3. Your skin will glow more and be smoother.
  4. No more hair on your face glistening in the sun ๐Ÿ˜‰

I finally convinced my fuzzy haired friend from college to shave her face and she was ecstatic with the results. Even my mother in law does it…so obviously it’s the way to go,haha. I usually shave about once a week if I can remember. Back in this post, I clearly had forgotten to shave before these images were shot and all the fuzz on my face is saying Merry Christmas.

I remember one time, a few weeks after I had my second baby, I was sitting on my front porch talking to my mother in law. She leaned over and said that I should start shaving my face because I had a ton of fuzz, hahaha. I informed her that I DO shave my face, but I’ve been a bit distracted, HA!

Don’t forget to shave your neck too! Whatever you do to your face, you must always do to your neck too. I’ll never forget that time I was with my sister in the car and I ripped a blondd hair out of her neck that was glowing in the sunlight, bahahaha. Trust me, you willow it!

One final tip when shaving your face, is use a men’s razor. I having been using men’s razors since I was in high school because they had more blades back then. I’m sure women’s razors have gotten better, but I’m not switching anytime soon. Plus, I use Barbasol shaving cream because it literally lasts FOREVER and it’s so cheap.

Go home and shave your face tonight and report back to me. -Jess

  1. I’ve been doing this for years. The few that I’ve told were shocked! But it also makes make-up go on so much easier. And since I’m a brunette, my fuzz is a tad tanner around my ears. So shaving is the way to go. Yay!!! Thanks for validating me!

  2. I’m not sure about the shaving. I had above my upper lip waxed, and it all grew back more than before the waxing. I told my daughter that if I ever had to go to a nursing home for her to come often to clip the stiff hair from under my nose. I am really afraid of the razor idea.

    1. As we get older we do get more facial hair…especially with hormone changes. Waxing is different because you are ripping the root of your hair out. Shaving won’t do that to you, I promise ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. By golly…another blog just “recommended” shaving. As fast as the hair grows on my face (and LEAVES on the top of my head) I’m DOING IT!! franki

  4. While this may be helpful for some in terms of makeup application, the hairs on your face are designed to carry oil out of your pore and without the hair can cause the oil to get trapped and a serious acne breakout.
I still have scars from getting my face waxed as a demo in esthetician school. A lot of my classmates had similar results.
