Amal Clooney – née Alamuddin, has proved herself to be a fashion icon now that she is in the public eye, and I can see why – how she mixes fashion basics and bright accent pieces is always so eye-catching! Often seen in New York City and Lake Como, Amal’s style fits anywhere she goes.

I’ve pulled some of Amal’s best looks, and it’s a mix of elegant looks from going to black tie events and galas like the Venice Film Festival or the Clooney Foundation and casual looks. Let’s dive into these looks and what makes them work!

This look is all about effortless style – the monochromatic look of this rust-orange skirt set is a beautiful color on her skin tone and dark hair, and the camel coat pulls in the snakeskin shoes so well! I would wear this to a restaurant for a nice dinner date.

A good trench coat is essential to any look; this colored jacket will make your look pop!

This look works because of the wide-leg trousers. They have a busy print and are creating volume to balance the form-fitting black top. I’m also obsessed with this leather trench coat, it adds such an interesting texture! A bold red lip is an excellent finishing touch.

This neutral look has a visual interest in the fantastic camel cape with tassels and the bright bag! This pop of blue makes this look! This use of skinny jeans works because of her voluminous cape.

Metallic heels are so in right now – I love how these heels pull from the detailing of the neckline on the tank. This look also has the perfect black jacket – the long hem tails help keep your eye moving down your figure and don’t have a harsh cut-off. The diamond earrings also bring the metallic theme to your face and keep the look cohesive. Amal’s personal style for a casual look is so chic!

I’m obsessed with this – its one of my favorite looks! This green dress is is a statement on its own, so we can be minimal with our accents. The white coat and snakeskin heels complement the statement dress.

Another great monochromatic look. Knit dresses under a crisp, white jacket is such a fresh look. I love the gold heels being paired with this look, too – they add a bright pop. If you wanted to add some more glamour, a gold clutch to match the shoes would be great!

You know how much I love red this fall! This red coat against an all-black look is chefs kiss, just a great mix of color and basic pieces.

This casual look pairs a beautiful pale pink top with a matching clutch. I try to match my bag to a piece in my look where I can, but it also means that if you do that you have to have a neutral shoe. This nude heel is complementary to this look and doesn’t compete at all.

A black-and-white look is always chic! This black coat has a subtle black and white plaid and makes this look pop. The black tights are also a great touch to bring in more black to this look, it makes me think of old Hollywood and high glamour.
