Your Capsule Wardrobe for Fall 2023
You ladies loved the Capsule Wardrobe I did for the Summer, so due to overwhelming requests, I am sharing what you need for Your Capsule Wardrobe for Fall 2023! If you are unfamiliar with a capsule wardrobe, let me clue you in. A capsule wardrobe is made of versatile pieces that are mostly a neutral color palette, so you can mix and match pieces to create unique looks over and over. You can then infuse your personal style with different pieces that are bright colors or fun patterns.
As we are making fall wardrobe, we need to add pieces that can be layered for the colder months. Now, here is the beauty of a capsule wardrobe: you know what must-have staple pieces you need so you can have more control over your budget. You can choose a more affordable option or invest in quiet luxury pieces. I recommend a mix of both, for basic tees and base pieces, I choose more affordable options. However, for a great pair of knee-high boots, I’m going to invest in a brand-name pair of boots for the quality. Whether you are building a new capsule closet or you just need a few new items, these looks will help you find a great piece!
Now that we know the basics, let’s talk about each look to understand what are classic pieces vs. trendy items:

Look 1: This exemplifies mixing neutral colors with timeless pieces. This beautiful camel-colored wool winter coat is perfect for cooler weather. Straight-leg jeans are so versatile and a basic tee can be worn with anything. This look is built of great basics.

Look 2: We are seeing a look that I would feel is still everyday wear, but is slightly elevated so you could wear this to work or out doing errands. Black pants and a white blouse are going to be your favorite pieces because they will stand the test of time and always be in style. You will recognize the belt from the previous look and the black flats.

Look 3: This is the first example of a trendy piece in this look. This oversized blazer is all the rage and we want to celebrate trends that appeal to you! However, we need to pair it with versatile basic pieces that can ground the look and allow that trendy piece to shine.

Look 4: This is the perfect power-lunch look. Feeling put together with well-fitting pieces will make you feel so confident! The black booties are a great addition to elevate this look to be more formal.

Look 5: If you have a date night coming up, this look is it. This form-fitting dress is so flattering in all the right places and the addition of this cape is so fabulous and chic! Also, check out these gorgeous leather boots; they are definitely an investment but can be worn so many different ways.

Look 6: There are these boots again – see what I mean? They look totally different paired with these jeans and oversized blazer.

Look 7: I love these white sneakers and how they make this a more casual outfit. This is a classic trench coat that is a closet staple piece!

Look 8: A tweed jacket is something I always have in my own closet. This is a structured coat that has great gold accents for your accessories to match!

Look 9: I love this look. It has classic pieces as a base, and it has a trendy item. Tuxedo-like vests are in, and if you can find a way to layer it with a white shirt and a pair of jeans, you will be so chic!

Look 10: Recognize these pieces from previous looks? This is what I love about a capsule closet, all these pieces look fabulous together no matter how you mix and match! If you have a date night or another formal event to attend, this is a great option.

Look 11: A fun playful look with a black midi skirt! This is great for a girls night, it’s flirty and fun and perfect for a great time!
