The Edition X

Feb 22

A look back at what I loved, bought, wore, read, listened to, and where we wandered this fall.

Edition X: We’re Only in February?!

Is it just me… or has this year already lived several lives? It’s only February and somehow we’ve done tropical humidity, ski goggles, brand trips, renovation approvals — and sold our house. We definitely did not ease into 2026.

First up was Costa Rica with Avara. Sunshine, breezy dresses, woven bags, and that golden light that makes you want to rethink your entire wardrobe. Warm weather in January feels like a cheat code. It was such a fun way to start the year and reminded me how much I love styling for tropical destinations — especially with so many of you planning spring break and warm getaways right now. Those finds are very top of mind in this edition.

Next came Yellowstone Club with friends — just Matt and me. Our first ski trip away without the girls. Skiing without coordinating gloves and snack breaks? A completely different sport. It was relaxed, grown-up, and so much fun. Long dinners, easy mornings, actual uninterrupted conversations. Highly recommend.

Then we headed to Telluride for winter break with the girls. Snowy mornings, serious layering, hot chocolate every afternoon. They’re at the sweetest age — independent enough to really ski but still excited about every single snowflake. It was busy, magical, and exactly the kind of memory-making trip I want to keep saying yes to. Between Yellowstone and Telluride, I fully stress-tested my winter wardrobe and found some true layering heroes.

Meanwhile, back at home, we sold our current house and officially got our renovation plans approved for the new one. Huge milestone. So exciting. The only wrinkle? The timing didn’t line up for us to move straight into the renovated house, so we’re heading into a rental while construction begins. Yes — with three girls, school schedules, and a full house renovation underway. It sounds chaotic, and it may be at moments, but the rental is closer to the girls’ school, which will be such a gift for our daily rhythm long term. Shorter drives, easier mornings, better flow. We just have to get through the transitional season to get there. I’m praying for sanity and peace and fully embracing the fact that this is going to make for very real home content. I’ll be sharing renovation decisions, materials, layouts, wins, mistakes, and how we’re making a rental feel intentional in the meantime. Come along for the ride.

I haven’t watched or read as much as I’d like — life has been moving at warp speed — but I’m sharing a few things that stuck with me. Even in busy seasons, I try to keep something inspiring nearby.

And of course, even though it’s only February, spring is already whispering. Transitional layers, resort pieces still going strong, and fresh launches I couldn’t ignore. In this edition, I’m sharing what I packed and loved, recent purchases, early spring staples, warm getaway favorites, and pieces I’m eyeing before they inevitably sell out. It was genuinely fun to gather these — even in the middle of life feeling slightly upside down.

Rental house life. Full renovation mode. More little trips. More grace. We’re only in February. Let’s do this. 🤍
