Five Accessories To Make Your House Feel Like A Home

Five Accessories To Make Your House Feel Like A Home

Today, I’m sharing five accessories to make your house feel like a home. Yesterday I asked you all what areas were difficult for you to style in your own homes. There were a ton of responses, and I completely understand where that is coming from! It can be overwhelming to pull together a room, but these five accessories will help your rooms become more cohesive. Each board has a different focus, but each room generally has each of the five elements. You can see a post I did last year on styling your coffee tables here as well to help get your creative thoughts processing.

If you’re still wondering where to begin, I like to first decide on the color palette. This will help you pull each of the five accessories. From there, think about incorporating different textures and sizes. This will help to create depth within the space and loads more interest. This little handout on the principles of design is extremely helpful when it comes to looking at the approach to your space. It is intended for viewing or creating art, but you can use these same ideas to tackle your room! As always, let me know how this helps you and send along pictures of what you create. I always love to hear from you all.
