The Edition VII

Aug 3

Hello, lovely readers! Welcome to my latest edition of The Edition, where I share my recent adventures, new purchases, and must-have beauty finds—all curated just for you.

This summer has completely flown by—and it’s been full of adventure, memory-making, and just the right amount of chaos.

We kicked things off with a special trip to Paris—11 unforgettable days with my oldest daughter. It was such a gift to explore the city together and soak up one-on-one time. While we were there, her two younger sisters were away at sleepaway camp for three weeks, having the time of their lives.

Once we were all back together, we took a family vacation to Greece—a trip we’ll be talking about for years. Then my oldest headed off to her own two-week camp (a different one from her sisters), and I got more quality time with just one or two kids at a time. I didn’t plan it that way, but it ended up being one of the best parts of the summer. Each of the girls loves having solo time with mom, and I do too.

We’ve wrapped up these last few weeks at our place in Cashiers, North Carolina, surrounded by friends and family. The cooler weather, peaceful pace, and fresh mountain air are everything we love about being there—it’s truly our happy place.

Even though it’s still blazing hot in Atlanta, the cool mornings in the mountains have me dreaming about fall fashion. I’ve been in a full-on denim refresh mode—testing out new cuts, shapes, and washes. Last year was all about the cuffed look for me, but now I’m leaning into different silhouettes. Some my husband likes, others not so much—but that’s the fun of personal style. There’s a fit for every mood.

I’m also on the lookout for transitional wardrobe pieces that can bridge these late-summer days into early fall: lightweight layers, updated basics, and elevated everyday denim.

As for audiobooks, I haven’t had the time I did in the spring (when I think I set a new personal record). With so much going on, I’ve had to pause the steady listening habit—but I’m easing back in with Untangled. If you’re a girl mom, especially with middle schoolers, this one has been recommended to me more times than I can count. With two heading into that season, I’m making it a priority.

Here’s to the final stretch of summer, new routines, and a little fall inspiration on the horizon.
