The Edition XI

May 3

A look back at what I loved, bought, wore, read, listened to, and where we wandered this fall.

There are seasons that pass quietly — and then there are seasons like this one. The kind that move so fast you find yourself in a different time zone every other week, packing and unpacking, kissing the dogs hello and goodbye on what feels like a loop. This has been the busiest spring of my life. Every trip stacked right on top of the next one. And somehow, it has also been one of the most beautiful.

It began in The Bahamas for an early family spring break — sun, slow mornings, exactly the reset we all needed. Then Sea Island for Easter with the family, which is always the most special week of the year. Off to Palm Beach for a girls trip I will be talking about for months.

Then home to Lexington for a college reunion weekend with my best girlfriends — a bourbon tour, a day at Keeneland, and the kind of laughing-until-you-cry weekend only old friends can give you. I am a Kentucky horse-loving girl at heart, so a day at Keeneland with my college girls is genuinely the dream. Some weekends are just made to be bottled up and saved.

Straight into Aspen for a work trip. And finally The Greenbrier to celebrate my youngest daughter turning ten — which, if I am being honest, was the moment of the whole spring. She is ten. Ten. I am still recovering from that one.

The day we got home from The Greenbrier, we moved into our rental house. No buffer, no breath in between. Just suitcases on the floor and a brand-new front door key.

I have come home from all of it with a notebook full of new favorite things — the pieces I bought this season, the pieces I am still eyeing, what has been living in my bag, the vacation-mode looks I am not quite ready to put away. This is the edition for now, and the next one will not land for a few months — but you will see every one of these pieces styled across the blog over the coming weeks. There are some really, really beautiful things coming.

About the move — we sold our house and will be in this rental for the next ten to twelve months while we renovate. It is quaint and charming and historical in the very best way, and the kids are completely obsessed (which is honestly the only review that matters). The renovation itself is still in the very glamorous electrical phase — which is to say, not glamorous at all. But in the next couple of weeks we should start seeing walls and floors go in, and that is when it will really start to feel like something. The decor decisions are getting closer to being figured out, and I cannot wait to bring you into that whole world in the months ahead. There is so much coming.

For now: home for a minute. Unpacked, mostly. Quiet for the first time in a long while. So grateful for every single one of these trips and the people who were on them with me.

More soon. xx
