Jackson Hole has been on my list for so long, and the more I plan this trip, the more I realize I want to experience it every possible way. I want to bring the girls and spend our days horseback riding, hiking and exploring the Tetons. Then I want to come back with just Matt for a little Western getaway—fly fishing, long dinners and absolutely nowhere we need to be. And then, of course, I want a girls’ trip because custom cowboy hats, a little shopping in Town Square and cocktails by the fire are practically begging for one.
I especially love the idea of visiting before ski season, when the air is crisp, the leaves are changing and you can finally pull out the suede, boots, sweaters and really good jackets—without needing allllll the winter layers quite yet. It’s that perfect window for getting dressed in fall clothes and actually enjoying them.
So naturally, I started planning the wardrobe before I planned the trip. I put together 10 chic Jackson Hole outfits that cover everything I’d want to do while I’m there, from fly fishing and hiking to cozy mornings by the fire, afternoons in town and a few really great dinners. The looks have a little Western influence without feeling like a costume—lots of texture, rich fall color, great layers and pieces you’ll want to wear long after you’re back home.
Now I just need to decide which Jackson Hole trip I’m booking first…
