The Best Vacation in Napa Valley Wine Country
I have always said I love hearing from my followers and this is why! A few weeks ago I asked for your recommendations for your favorite locations in Napa Valley and, ladies, you did not disappoint. I got so many recommendations for hotels, restaurants, wineries and things to do in Napa that I almost booked a trip while writing this blog post. Sadly I do not have the time in my calendar to squeeze in this vacation, but if you do these the highest recommended places for you to have the best vacation in Napa Valley Wine Country!
If you followed along last week on Instagram you saw these 11 looks and locations for you to have the best vacation in Napa Valley Wine Country. Whether you are a foodie, adventure junkie, wine enthusiast or relaxation guru I have a something for everyone. Let’s start with the adventure junkies that need something exciting! Hot Air Ballooning was hands down the most recommended item and I can see why. The views of the mountains and vineyards are so beautiful they are sure to help you overcome any fear of heights! For those who are a mix of adventure junkies and wine enthusiasts, try the wine country train tour which goes to several wineries in one day, or the wine cave tours. These caves are really cool, they are giving speakeasy vibes – but bring a coat! They can get down to a chilly 55 degrees!
Next on the list are my relaxation gurus. Facials, massages and pools.. oh my! The overwhelming response for hotels was for Hotel Yountville or Carneros Resort and Spa. The atmosphere of these properties screams relaxation and gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains. The Heritage Oak restaurant at the Hotel Yountville has a celebrated chef, and ‘Farm’ at Carneros Resort and Spa boasts fresh produce and eggs grown on property! Foodies, you can see we have entered your territory. In addition to these two restaurants, you all raved about Press Restaurant for a special dinner on a fire-warmed patio. And for brunch, Ashes & Diamonds to kick off a day of wine tasting. If you are unable to decide what you want for lunch or dinner, head down to Oxbow Market. It’s a fabulous spot that has different food vendors and breweries under one roof so everyone will be happy.
Last but certainly not least.. the wineries! These are just a few, but it was impossible to list all the amazing wineries Napa Valley has to offer. If you want a quaint country side feel, head to Far Niete Winery. The cottage on this property looks like it was built to the rolling hills, its stunning! They are known for their chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon. If you want to feel like you are in Versailles, head over to Domaine Carneros. This upscale château has beautifully manicured gardens that specialize in sparkling varieties and Pinot Noir. And if you want to pretend you are in the ruins of an Italian castle spend the day at Castello Di Amorosa. You guys, it’s literally a castle. This has been family owned since the 1880’s, and they specialize in Italian style wines.
